Follow one order through configured stations
Illustrative test record—not a live order or payment: a server opens a check, adds a seat, selects an item and modifier, and confirms the course and guest count. The configured rules send the item to the kitchen, bar, or expo station that the restaurant has mapped. Staff validate the device, route, and timing; a KDS route is configured behavior, not a promise that every physical station is compatible.
Check the last confirmed state before retrying
If a ticket, modifier, or station update appears uncertain, pause before repeating it. Confirm the check, item, course, station, and visible status; then use the supported re-fire, reroute, reopen, or recovery path that keeps the original history. Do not create a second order or payment merely because a screen stopped responding.
Keep checkout and closeout reviewable
Supported card and cash tenders, tips, receipts, server checkout, cash-drawer counts, shift cashout, business-day close, voids, refunds, and exception review remain connected to the POS sales record. A closeout or export is a reviewed record; it does not prove that a processor settled, tips reconciled, or a business day closed itself.
Keep ownership with POS
Schedule, Finance, Ops, Marketing, or Master AI may use approved POS information when the connection, restaurant, location, and role allow it. Check the source and last update before using a sales total elsewhere. Access to one app does not grant permission to edit another app’s record.
Station-readiness checklist
Before service, verify the menu item and modifier map, kitchen/bar/expo destinations, printer or display path, station login, network status, course behavior, re-fire and reroute ownership, supported tender setup, and manager closeout role. Run a fictional order through every required station and record the last confirmed state before relying on it.
Cloud, card, and Hybrid limits
Eligible Hybrid supports designated POS and HETable work on the installed Windows computer. Separate tablets, online ordering, remote reporting, connected cloud services, and card processing need internet and their configured providers. Rehearse outage and reconnection with test records, including duplicate checks, recovery, and who owns the close; never use a production order or payment as a test.
