Guest payments

Your restaurant. Your merchant account. Your choice of payments.

HospiEdge software subscriptions are billed separately through Stripe. For restaurant guest payments, your business owns its supported Stripe or Square merchant account and receives its own payouts. Stripe setup is available; Square customer activation is not currently offered. Provider processing fees and availability are separate from your HospiEdge subscription.

Two separate payment relationships.

HospiEdge subscription billing

Your software plan

  • HospiEdge charges for its software through Stripe.
  • Your plan controls software access.
  • Choosing a different guest-payment provider does not change this subscription.
Restaurant guest payments

Your merchant account and payouts

  • Your business owns and controls its supported Stripe or Square account.
  • Your provider pays your restaurant; HospiEdge does not receive your ordinary guest-payment revenue.
  • Processing fees are separate from the software subscription.
  • Cash and approved manual tenders remain available.

HospiEdge does not store full card numbers, security codes, magnetic-stripe data or PINs. The selected payment provider and its supported hardware handle card information.

Stripe and Square: compare the setup paths.

Available setup path

Stripe

Connect your restaurant’s merchant account in the payment settings for your restaurant. Countertop smart readers use the selected provider location and device. Confirm the exact model, country, connection and operation during setup.

Customer activation not currently offered

Square

HospiEdge supports a separate Square merchant connection and Square Terminal workflow. Customer activation is still awaiting release approval and device validation. Confirm availability before purchasing equipment.

Square credentials are held by the central HospiEdge service, never in the POS browser or Hybrid computer.

Match the device to the job.

Countertop terminals, lower-cost mobile readers and cash are different workflows. An available setup path does not mean every physical reader has been validated.

Mobile readers, Station and Tap to Pay.

Lower-cost mobile readers are not currently offered for customer use. HospiEdge Station has no signed customer release or customer download. Stripe Reader M2, BBPOS WisePad 3 and Square Reader for contactless and chip still need that release and physical validation.

Tap to Pay is not currently offered. Do not buy a phone, tablet or reader on the assumption that it enables this feature.

For cash or approved manual tenders, no card reader is required. A full cash station normally uses a supported receipt printer and printer-driven drawer. A cashless restaurant using digital receipts may not need a drawer.

Plan receipts, labels and cash handling

Keep card payments online.

HospiEdge card processing requires internet. If a payment screen is interrupted, check the recorded outcome before trying again. An interrupted screen does not prove the payment failed.

Keep card information with the provider. Never write down card numbers or security codes for later entry.

Next step

One restaurant account. The whole operating day.

The Full Platform includes eight base applications and onboarding. Begin cloud-first, add optional Hybrid continuity, and choose Master AI separately when leadership needs it.

Keep serving through an outage Supported POS and HETable workflows continue on the installed Hybrid Windows computer. Separate tablets and connected services need internet.
Roll out one workflow at a time Start with the clearest operational need, prove it with the team, and expand without creating another account system.
One sign-in for approved apps Each person sees only the restaurants, locations, and HospiEdge apps their account is allowed to open.
